These are the graphs on the zot.factoryfouroh.net secondary server after 4-5 days. It seems the directory info is transferred in very short bursts just as the manual describes. I am not sure what's the deal with the climbing RAM usage though.

It's likely related to the Hubzilla background jobs. To flatten resource consumption "queueworker" addon usage is suggested.

@Max Kostikov Then its fine.. I am going to let this process complete, then I am going to use it as the baseline comparison against the production server, I am going to build on zot.kane-il.us the coming summer. Thanks again, I made a note of it alongside with you disk benchmark advise.

I also do not understand: zot.factoryfouroh.net already shows in the directory selection: I though it is going to take the 3-4 weeks before that happens. Instead it is shown after a few days.

On my site the queueworker addon was seriously broke. FIrst, when enabled my hubzilla would not talk to my friendica node. Second, it would from time to time launch a huge number of processes and spike the load on the web server to totally unreasonable levels. Disabling fixed these negative behaviors

I'm sure Frendica federation issues you had is unrelated to queueworker. This addon just flattens system load by queueing Hubzilla background processes. So issues with a high number of processes generated with queueworker sounds strange. I think @M. Dent can tell you more about this.

I created the hub-snapshot.conf then I did the udall. So far the RAM usage is under 600 MB, and space used is at 18.5 GB, it took less than 30 minutes.
